Do you and your girlfriend/wife/spouse/other half talk money matters?

I am lucky to have a girlfriend who got some financial education, she is able to set financial goals and manage her own money on her own. I feel managing the finances of a family should be done by the couple and not just the lady of the house doing so.

Here are the pros of discussing money with your other half:

• Makes managing the finances easier
• Fewer arguments over money issues
  
• Lesser nagging from your other half over money issues
• Able to see a clearer picture of their financial position
• Able to set goals to plan for the future and work towards it

Disputes over money are very common for married couples and although it isn't the most common reason for divorce. Money is ranked the 3rd reason for divorce!
